I started 627 Transfer and am the principal deliverer of the sessions and workshops. I left my job in the business training sector when I started a family and soon found how much satisfaction I could get from helping children to reach their potential.

I have worked in schools since 1998 and I have extensive experience helping vulnerable children transfer to secondary school. I was a founder and highly regarded member of the Buckinghamshire Transfer Support Team for nine years, supporting children from Year 6 to Year 7. I have helped over 2500 children and worked with over 100 primary and secondary schools (state and independent), building good working relationships and establishing an extensive network of contacts in schools across Bucks, Berks, Herts and beyond.

I am a qualified HLTA and have led whole class circle times on secondary transfer for Year 6 in a wide range of primary schools around Buckinghamshire. I have also worked in primary and secondary classrooms as a Teaching Assistant and a PRU Outreach Support Specialist, and supported children with a range of difficulties and needs.

I believe everyone is remarkable and capable of being or doing anything they want and I love helping young people and adults believe that! I am an empathetic listener and passionate about building strong, supportive relationships. I currently work as a Personal and Professional Development Coach, having previously gained 24 years’ experience working in Office Management.

I have various qualifications relating to coaching, including a Post-Graduate Certificate. I also have three children who keep me constantly challenged to inspire and motivate them to be the best version of themselves.

I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with 627 Transfer and to help young people recognise their strengths, their qualities and their ability to adapt their behaviour to achieve positive outcomes for themselves and those around them.

I have a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Occupational Psychology, as well as many other qualifications relating to teaching and coaching. Most recently, I completed a postgraduate certificate in Business and Personal Coaching, and plan to continue developing my skills and expertise.

My working background includes many years as a careers advisor, coach and mentor for teenagers and young adults, identifying their unique strengths and interests. I hope to bring this experience to my work with 627 Transfer, providing an environment of trust, support and courage which enables children to explore and plan the next chapter in their lives.

As well as my work with 627 Transfer, I also provide one-to-one and group careers and personal coaching, as well as raising my own twin teenage daughters.

I am really excited to be part of the 627 Transfer team and to have the opportunity to bring this fabulous transfer programme to children.

I have always been interested in people – why they behave in certain ways – why they do certain things – what makes each individual unique and what makes them ‘tick’. I am a strong believer that everyone has the ability to be a highly remarkable person. For each person, how to get there is different – just as each snowflake has a shape all its own.

My working background includes many years of running my own business whilst raising two lovely daughters and, more recently, working within an agency that supports vulnerable teenagers and adults. I am also currently in my final six months of a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Both my daughters have been through the transition to secondary school and I know how difficult that experience can be, so I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with 627 Transfer.  To be able to help and support children build on their strengths and skills is so important, because each personality, passion and priority can illuminate that special quality in a child to make them remarkable.

I have 13 years’ experience of working with children, having gone straight into my first childcare job after leaving school. I strive to give the children in my care confidence in everything they do and intend to do the same for the children under my supervision with 627 Transfer. I am willing to go above and beyond to ensure the children I work with develop to their full potential.

I have level 3 qualifications in Child Psychology and Childcare and Education. I'm always looking to improve my own skills and techniques and am currently studying to gain my higher level teaching assistant level 4 qualification. I'm passionate about what I do which reflects on my work and again onto the children.

I am very excited to be joining the team in the wonderful work of supporting children during a period of adjustment and transition to new settings and expectations. I have always been interested in understanding and learning about the emotional development of children and the domino effect of childhood experiences. To further my personal and professional development, I am studying towards a counselling qualification at the Gestalt Centre in London.

After 15 years of being a childcare professional, I am still completely captivated and inspired by the children’s resilience, courage and joie de vivre. This fuels my passion for supporting children become their best selves and gain the confidence to follow their dreams.
